Visitors flying into Muonio will need to use the two closest airports. Kittila Airport and Enontekio Airport are both a short drive from Muonio and welcome regular flights from nearby major airports. Travel tips suggest flying into Helsinki, Stockholm, or Oslo before catching a flight to Lapland, though there are other options available. Connections from the airport can be made by bus or rail. If already within Finland, the bus or rail can be used to travel without the need for flights. Once you get to the area, you will find that many attractions are within walking distance. The buses are also available in the city for coach trips and cross-town travel. Taxi services are also available for anything that is not within walking distance.
