Varkaus can be found in the province of Eastern Finland and is also part of the Northern Savonia region. The city has nearly 23,000 inhabitants and is surrounded by lakes and straits, including Lake Saimaa. On the whole, there is a great deal of history in Varkaus, Finland, but travelers will also find any modern convenience desired.

Walking is encouraged, and there are many sights to see within walking distance of the major hotels and accommodations. For anything that a bus or walking cannot reach, taxi services are available.
