It’s a hotel that would make even the most die-hard James Bond fan proud to call home on his or her next visit to London.

The new Eccleston Square Hotel has just opened its doors in the chic London district of Belgravia right in the heart of the city.  Already, the travel press is calling the hotel “007” because of the advanced technology that graces every room and every public area.

The outside of the Eccleston Square blends seamlessly into the cultured London surroundings.  Its whitewashed Georgian façade is ultra-British and stately; it speaks to luxury and class.   The decorations are equally distinctive and beautiful.  From chandeliers in the lobby crafted from fine Italian glass, to sky high ceilings and large windows to let in the light; guests will feel comfortable and spoiled in luxury boutique hotel surroundings.

However, it’s not the interior design that is making headlines with this new London hotel.  It’s the special high-tech touches.   The bathroom may be large and lovely, but underneath those marble floors there are heating coils to keep the floor at a perfectly warm temperature, even during a chilly winter.   When you look into the mirror to shave or apply your make up, don’t worry about having to wipe off the mirror, it is equipped with anti-fog technology to keep the mirror free and clear, no matter how steamy your shower.

The piece de resistance is the glass wall that surrounds the bathroom.  Leave it as is for a bright, airy feel in the washroom, and when it comes time for some privacy, the glass wall turns opaque on demand.    If you get bored during your bath, flip on the HD flat screen TV that is embedded in the bathroom mirror to keep you entertained.

Outside of the bathroom, each guest room has massage beds, and an in-room iPad with an App that allows you to make reservations at nearby restaurants, or order something to your room.    You can also watch a movie on the in room Blu-Ray player, and set it up to play surround sound.    Don’t worry if you don’t know what to watch.  There are plenty of choices at the Eccleston’s DVD library.

The hotel also has some excellent onsite services including a French restaurant, full Sunday brunch, and a charming bar.  It also offers the perfect location in London, close to Sloane Square, Victoria Station and Buckingham Palace.

Whether you prefer the old fashioned luxury of the hotel’s design, with silk wallpaper and one-of-a-kind art pieces, or you crave the international man of mystery tech gear that makes each room a place you simply won’t want to leave, the new Eccleston Square Hotel is the ideal choice.
